One day, with magic Sax

My passion for music, particularly the saxophone, began when I was 13 years old and joined the marching band in my hometown of Maracaibo, Venezuela, on the western bank of the strait that connects Lake Maracaibo to the Gulf of Venezuela. Three years later, a good friend urged me to audition for a Latin music band, and I got the job. Since then, I’ve been playing music and consider myself fortunate to be able to share it with anyone who wants to listen. I was hired as a sax teacher by another marching band in 1998 while attending University of Jesus Enrique Lossada for a bachelor’s degree in business and musicology from Cecilio Acosta Catholic University, graduating in 2002 and 2014, respectively.

For many years, I played with the most influential music group in my city, as well as with worldwide artists such as Rafael El pollo Brito, Bonny Cepeda, Fernandando Villalona, Wilfrido Vargas, Adalgisa Pantaleon (440’s singer), and the Mania group from Puerto Rico. I’ve also performed with the cool jazz session, Maracaibo’s big band, Cereza, Attempo, and many other musical organizations.

In 2015, I moved to Florida with my family, where I combined my day-to-day profession as a fire sprinkler designer at Eagle Fire Protection with my saxophone music, performing at various events throughout Central Florida in restaurants and private functions (e.g., weddings, cocktail parties, christenings, anniversaries, birthdays, and corporate event).
